Sorry for the firmware crash on Mosaic. We hate it too!
Here are instructions on how to report this bug to Pebble in a way that will increase the chance they will fix it.
1. Reproduce the crash
Mosaic will completely crash the firmware of any Pebble 2 Duo on the latest firmware within 24h of use.
Install Mosaic, log in (if you need to), keep it on default settings and let it crash. You should now see a watch that looks like this:
2. Submit a bug report
Follow these steps to submit a bug report (bug description instructions in step 3):
3. Use this text in your bug description
Hi,
My Pebble 2 Duo is entering recovery mode after using Lignite's Mosaic watchface for a period of time.
This is the same bug as reports from other customers, including reports #7818 and #10953.
The crash happened at around: WRITE_APPROX_CRASH_TIME_HERE
Thank you!
4. Attach additional logs
Before you reinstall the firmware, please attach more logs to your bug report:
5. Provide bug report number to Edwin
Go back to your bug reports list, and send the number of your new bug report to Edwin:
6. Say a prayer to Migicovski
(...and his engineers!)
Unfortunately, all we can do at Lignite is wait to hear more from Pebble. It is definitely possible that we are causing this crash, but we can't tell from our end. If Pebble identifies what we are doing to cause it for us, we will be sure to fix it.
In any case, when (and if...) we get more news, we'll be sure to follow up with you.
Thanks for taking the time to submit a bug report! ❤️
